The Journal of Advanced Medicine is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in scientific publishing. These guidelines outline our expectations for authors, reviewers, and editors to ensure integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct throughout the publication process.

1. Authorship and Contribution

  • Only individuals who have made significant intellectual contributions to the research should be listed as authors.
  • The corresponding author must ensure:
    • All listed authors meet the authorship criteria.
    • All authors have reviewed and approved the manuscript prior to submission.
  • Acknowledgments should include individuals or organizations that contributed to the work but do not meet the authorship criteria (e.g., administrative support, technical assistance).
  • The journal follows the ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) guidelines for defining authorship and contribution.

2. Originality and Plagiarism

  • All submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, text recycling, or duplication, is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate rejection.
  • The journal uses plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate) to screen all submissions.
  • Authors must properly cite all sources and ensure appropriate attribution for reproduced or adapted material.

3. Research Involving Human and Animal Subjects

  • Human Research: All studies involving human participants must comply with the ethical principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki.
  • Informed consent must be obtained from all participants, and the process should be explicitly described in the manuscript.
  • Animal Research: Studies involving animals must adhere to recognized guidelines, such as the ARRIVE (Animal Research: Reporting of In Vivo Experiments) guidelines and national ethical standards.
  • Identifiable personal information must be anonymized or excluded unless explicit consent for publication is obtained.

4. Conflicts of Interest

  • Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest, financial or otherwise.
  • Reviewers and editors must disclose conflicts of interest and recuse themselves if necessary.

5. Data Sharing and Reproducibility

  • Authors should be prepared to provide raw data for review purposes.
  • Sufficient methodological detail must be provided to allow reproduction of results.

6. Ethical Oversight and Misconduct

  • JMDS will investigate allegations of research misconduct in accordance with COPE guidelines.
  • Corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern will be published as needed.

7. Peer Review Process

  • All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process.
  • Reviewers must keep all information confidential and provide objective, constructive feedback.
  • Reviews must be completed in a timely manner.

8. Duplicate and Redundant Publication
