What Are Articles in Press?

Articles in Press are peer-reviewed, accepted articles that are not yet assigned to a specific journal issue but are published online in advance of their final inclusion in an issue. These articles have been fully reviewed, revised, and edited for publication, and the authors' final corrections have been incorporated.

Once an article is assigned to an issue, it will be removed from this page and will appear in the corresponding issue archives.

The Journal of Advanced Medicine publishes the following types of articles ahead of print:

Original Research

Full-length research articles presenting original findings from clinical or basic science investigations.

  • Word limit: 5,000 words
  • Abstract: Structured, 300 words
  • Figures/Tables: Up to 6
  • References: No limit

Reviews

Comprehensive, critical assessments of the literature on topics of current interest.

  • Word limit: 6,000 words
  • Abstract: Unstructured, 250 words
  • Figures/Tables: Up to 8
  • References: No limit

Perspectives

Expert views on trends, controversies, or novel approaches in medical science and practice.

  • Word limit: 3,000 words
  • Abstract: Unstructured, 200 words
  • Figures/Tables: Up to 3
  • References: Up to 50

Digital Object Identifiers (DOI)

All Articles in Press receive a permanent DOI upon online publication. The DOI remains the same when the article is subsequently published in a regular issue.

Articles in Press can be cited using the DOI in the following format:
Author(s), Article Title, Journal of Advanced Medicine (YYYY), DOI: 10.xxxx/xxxxx

Articles in Press are fully citable and establish publication priority.
